Air Fryer Parmesan Fries

Cook these delicious parmesan fries in one of our fantastic energy saving Hamilton Beach Air Fryers for a quick and easy side dish!

  • 1 medium russet potato, scrubbed
  • 1 & ¼ tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • ¼ tsp coarse black pepper
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley


  1. Cut potato in thin fries. Rinse the cut potato in cold water to remove starch. Cover with fresh cold water, add 1 tablespoon salt and stir until salt is dissolved. Refrigerate up to 1 hour. Drain, rinse, and pat fries dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large bowl, combine fries, vegetable oil, remaining ¼ teaspoon salt, and black pepper. Toss until fries are evenly coated.
  3. In air fryer basket, arrange fries in a single layer. Set air fryer temperature on 200°C.
  4. Shaking basket every 5 minutes, cook until fries are golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle fries with Parmesan cheese and parsley.
Test Kitchen Tip: Choose a good potato for frying. Russet potatoes are recommended due to their high starch content. They hold their shape and make a crispy fry. The oval shape of the russet is good for making long French or steak fries.
