Avocado Papdi Chaat

Avocado Papdi Chaat is a playful fusion from Radikal Kitchen — crisp papdis layered with creamy avocado, chutneys, yoghurt, and spices. A fresh twist on the beloved Indian street food, it’s crunchy, tangy, and irresistibly moreish.

Serves 4-6 as starters /snacks

Ingredients

One pack readymade papdi discs (store bought) in the World Foods section. One pack has about 12-14 pieces

Topping

  • 2 Avocados, chopped in small pieces
  • 1 red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 2-3 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp jalapeno peppers, chopped (store bought)
  • 2 tbsps pomegranate seeds
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  • Handful of coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • Juice of one lime
  • 1 tsp chaat masala (optional)
  • 3 tbsps readymade boondi or sev to sprinkle on top

Method

To prepare the topping

  • In a large bowl mix all the ingredients mentioned in the above list except the boondi.
  • Squeeze the lime juice and add the chaat masala

Assembly

  • Spread the papdi on a serving tray
  • Top each papdi with the avocado mix
  • Sprinkle the boondi or sev on top
  • Serve
