Avocado Papdi Chaat is a playful fusion from Radikal Kitchen — crisp papdis layered with creamy avocado, chutneys, yoghurt, and spices. A fresh twist on the beloved Indian street food, it’s crunchy, tangy, and irresistibly moreish.
Serves 4-6 as starters /snacks
Ingredients
One pack readymade papdi discs (store bought) in the World Foods section. One pack has about 12-14 pieces
Topping
- 2 Avocados, chopped in small pieces
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 2-3 spring onions, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp jalapeno peppers, chopped (store bought)
- 2 tbsps pomegranate seeds
- 1 green chilli, finely chopped
- Handful of coriander leaves, finely chopped
- Juice of one lime
- 1 tsp chaat masala (optional)
- 3 tbsps readymade boondi or sev to sprinkle on top
Method
To prepare the topping
- In a large bowl mix all the ingredients mentioned in the above list except the boondi.
- Squeeze the lime juice and add the chaat masala
Assembly
- Spread the papdi on a serving tray
- Top each papdi with the avocado mix
- Sprinkle the boondi or sev on top
- Serve
