How to make the perfect batch of vegetarian chili

Start by sautéing onions, garlic, and bell peppers in a large pot until they are soft and fragrant. Add in your favourite chili spices, such as cumin, chili powder, and paprika, to build layers of flavour. Next, stir in diced tomatoes, vegetable broth, and a variety of beans to create a thick and hearty base.

Let the chili simmer on the stove for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to meld together. For an extra kick of heat, add in some diced jalapeños or a splash of hot sauce. Serve the chili hot with a dollop of sour cream, a sprinkle of cheese, and a handful of fresh cilantro for a truly satisfying meal.
